Pronovost P. et al. Psychiatric symptoms after acute respiratory distress syndrome: a 5-year longitudinal Study. This prospective cohort study enrolled post-ARDS patients from 13 medical and surgical intensive care units in four hospitals, with follow‑up at regular intervals over a 5-year period to examine anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms and determine risk factors for prolonged psychiatric
morbidity.

In order to measure the global prevalence of use of prone positioning in ARDS and identify the reasons for lack of use, this one-day prospective observational study was carried out four times in 141 ICUs in 20 countries.
